Regional Manager – South East Australia

Anthony joined the Emerald team in April 2018. Anthony grew up on a farm at Rupanyup before studying for a Bachelor of Business in Farm Business Management. He worked on the family farm until 2004 before working in the export oaten hay industry for 4 years and then moved back into the grain industry in a seed and accumulation role for the last 8 years in the Wimmera. Anthony has a passion for the grains industry and looks forward to helping growers in the Emerald network market their grain.

Grain Merchant - Emerald South East

Patrick grew up on a family farm at Mitiamo in Northern Victoria before moving to Parkes in NSW. His careers in Banking and the Federal Police followed before returning top Regional NSW for farming and a career in wool brokerage and exports.
After building the business for 15 years, Patrick became Queensland Cotton’s National Wool Manager based in Wagga Wagga. After a Period as a private consultant Patrick is excited to have the opportunity to trade a different commodity and form relationships with grain growers in the Emerald Network.

Grain Merchant - Emerald South East

Jordan grew up on a farm in the Victorian Mallee, before completing a Bachelors at Ballarat in Education and Technology. After three years of teaching in outer suburbs of Melbourne, Jordan found his way back to the Mallee as the Site Manager for Emerald Grain at the Nullawil site. After 8 years of managing the Nullawil site and completing a Masters in Logistics and Supply chain management Jordan has transitioned into the role of Grain Merchant. Jordan is excited about his new role and opportunity within Emerald as he continues to build on his existing Grower relationships and foster new ones across the network.

Grower Services Officer

Aleceia Gason commenced in 2023 as a Grower Services Officer based in the Moama, South East.
Prior to Emerald Grain, she worked in Catholic Education for 11 years being program support for teachers and the school community in the Regional City of Ballarat.
Aleceia’s customer focus and willingness to support our growers’ needs is what drives her.
Aleceia and her husband are buying a house in Moama and love to travel in the van all around the country side.
She enjoys cycling and overseas travel and is a mad golfer and will spend most of her weekends on the course.

Dick McCagh

General Manager WA

Dick was born and raised on a wheat and sheep farm in the Mullewa area, he left the area in 1991 and since then has had various roles in the agricultural industry. Dick has worked closely with many clients and his previous roles in Agchem and fertiliser hold him in good stead for his current role. Dick joined Emerald Grain in 2009 as a Grain Merchant and in 2013 accepted the position of General Manager WA

Mikayla was born and raised on the family farm at Corrigin in the middle of the Wheatbelt, where she developed a love and passion for agriculture in WA.
Prior to Emerald, Mikayla spent a lot of time overseas travelling, where she worked a stint overseas in Indonesia developing community driven initiatives. After this she moved north and worked in the Pilbara working with bulk cargoes in the Mining and Gas sector. After trying her hand in various careers Mikayla found herself back in the grains industry. She is excited about engaging with growers across Western Australia and developing the domestic market.

Malcolm Bennett

Customer Relationship Manager

Mal Bennett has had a long involvement with agriculture as was brought up on a farm in the Central wheatbelt of WA, He spent some time running the family farm before graduating from Curtin University.

His career started in the Agricultural Department of WA in the wheat and barley breeding programmes for several years and then made career changes including, becoming a respected supervisor in the Value Adding Plant at Metro Grain Centre, became a maltster at Joe White Maltings and of recent years has spent over a decade as a grain buyer and logistics manager for a leading container packing facility in WA.

Mal joined Emerald Grain in 2021 and his experience will be valuable for the Emerald Grain team as well as growers in WA.

Sheridan Darling

Sheridan Darling

Grain Marketing Officer

Sheridan Darling joined the Emerald team based in the Geraldton office in 2021. Sheridan is a local with good links to the AG industry and is very knowledgeable in all aspects of Grain movement logistics etc. Sheridan and her partner have bought a house in Geraldton and she has great enjoyment with the local beaches on the weekends and is also at home camping and exploring the bush, as well as four wheel driving.
